Tioga County is First in PA.

In 2023, Tioga County, PA became the first county in Pennsylvania to take key steps towards becoming an ACT Work Ready Community, lighting up the PA map for ACT.

The Develop Tioga Workforce Development Workgroup serves as the Advisory Council for Tioga County’s ACT Work Ready Community initiative. The Workgroup consists of representatives from business, education, and workforce development organizations across Tioga County.

What is an ACT Work Ready Community?

ACT Work Ready Communities (WRC) empowers states, regions and counties with data, processes and tools that drive economic growth. Participants are leveraging the ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate® (NCRC®) to measure and close the skills gap — and building common frameworks that link, align and match their workforce development efforts.
